Air Flow Damper Damper is a valve used to regulate the flow of air inside a duct. A valve or a plate is used to vary the cross-section area of the duct at one point. A damper can be fully open, fully close or partially open as required to help control the rate of flow.
In Apcon systems, dampers are designed to cut off air flow by 98% and withstand high velocity of air. Apcon dampers are available in two types, Sliding Damper and Throttle or Butterfly damper.
Sliding damper is simple in construction where a plate is made to slide between two other plates which are fastened together. A throttle damper consists of one or more plates are fastened such that they all swivel at its center axis. Rotating the plates by its center axis varies the cross section area available for the flow of air.
